The Italians built a 4-2 lead in the third quarter and the U.S. never recovered. The United States will play either Romania or Germany in the 10th-place game.<\/p>\n
American captain Tony Azevedo scored twice in the fourth quarter and Brandon Brooks made several key saves in goal. Adam Wright and Jesse Smith also scored for the U.S. While the men are out of the medal picture, the women are still in the hunt.
