JASON Baumann is now the man in charge of the diving program at the University of Minnesota. The hiring of Baumann was announced by Joel Maturi, the school\u2019s Director of Athletics. Prior to accepting his new position, Baumann served as an assistant coach at Indiana University. He begins his duties on July 25.<\/p>\n<p>While at Indiana, Baumann helped the Hoosiers produce Cassandra Cardinell, a 2004 Olympian and an NCAA champion on the 10-meter platform. Baumann also produced numerous All-Americans and Big Ten honorees. Aside from lending his support to the university diving program, Baumann was involved in the Indiana Diving Club and the Indiana Diving Academy.<\/p>\n<p>Baumann is the former diving coach at the University of Wyoming and competed collegiately for Indiana, where he was a five-time finalist at the Big Ten Championships. He was the second-place finisher in the platform in 1993 and earned All-American accolades in the platform as a senior.
