ATLANTA, June 9. COMPLETING its search for a head coach of its men\u2019s and women\u2019s programs, Georgia Tech went with an inside candidate. The school announced Wednesday that Stuart Wilson would guide the Yellow Jackets. Wilson was an assistant coach the past three years under Seth Baron.<\/p>\n
Wilson helped the Georgia Tech men finish third at last year\u2019s Atlantic Coast Conference Championships, equaling the best effort in school history. The Yellow Jackets sent four swimmers \u2013 male and female combined – to the NCAA Championships in 2005, a record for the school.<\/p>\n
\u201cWe are very excited to have Stuart Wilson lead our swimming and diving program,\u201d said Dave Braine, Georgia Tech\u2019s Director of Athletics. \u201cHe has more than proven himself as an assistant coach, and he deserves this opportunity. He has all the ingredients to be a very successful head coach. <\/p>\n
