THE USA Swimming Open Water National Championship Festival is scheduled to begin Thursday. Running through Sunday, the competition features the top distance swimmers in the nation over grueling distances.<\/p>\n<p>The 25-kilometer races will kick off the event, which includes a festival atmosphere complete with concert and non-competitive races for younger swimmers. These races are designed to spark an interest in younger athletes. The five-kilometer race is slated for June 3 and the 10-kilometer races will close out the weekend on June 5.
