THE UCLA women\u2019s water polo team completed an undefeated season Sunday with a 3-2 victory over Stanford in the NCAA Championship game, played at the Canham Natatorium on the University of Michigan campus. The title marked the 96th for the school, encompassing all sports.<\/p>\n<p>The Bruins finished the year with a 33-0 record, marking the longest single-season winning streak in NCAA history. Coach Adam Krikorian picked up his fourth NCAA crown guiding the women, and his seventh championship overall, between his guidance of the women and men.<\/p>\n<p>Natalie Golda, named the MVP of the tournament, scored the first goal for the Bruins while Brittany Rowe accounted for the other two goals, including one in the fourth quarter that handed UCLA a 3-1 advantage. Katie Hansen brought the Cardinal to within a goal with 4:12 remaining, but Stanford couldn\u2019t get the tying tally.<\/p>\n<p>Emily Feher registered seven saves for the Bruins while Meridith McColl made eight stops for Stanford. The Cardinal\u2019s first goal was scored by Hannah Luber.
