OHIO State has signed women\u2019s swimming coach Jeanne Fleck to a new three-year contract. Fleck has been the coach of the Buckeyes for six years and has guided the program to 81 dual-meet victories during that span. She coached at Northern Illinois for eight years before heading to Columbus.<\/p>\n<p>During the just-completed season, Griet Bulens became the first Ohio State female swimmer since 1995 to win a Big Ten championship, as she captured first place in the 200-yard butterfly. During her tenure, Fleck has coached the Buckeyes to four school and pool records.<\/p>\n<p>&quot;Ohio State is where I want to be,&quot; Fleck said. &quot;This is the best school in the Big Ten and I am excited to be here for three more years. Hopefully we can build a program that will keep me here for 20 years. We not only want to be the best in the Big Ten, but the best in the country. We are making great progress along those lines and move into a great new facility next year. I am excited to be able to make the move over there with this program.&quot; <\/p>\n<p>Ohio State will open a new facility next year, the Bill and Mae McCorkle Aquatics Pavilion.
