MINNEAPOLIS, Minn., March 25. CAL senior Duje Draganja clocked the second-fastest 100 butterfly in history en route to winning the event in a scorching time of 45.39 seconds. <\/p>\n

Draganja destroyed the field, recording a winning margin of .79. Trailing slightly after the first 25 split, Draganja poured it on, clocking the fastest times in each of the subsequent splits.<\/p>\n

Daniel DiToro of Texas was a distant second, touching in a time of 46.18. Arizona's Lyndon Ferns placed third in 46.33 and Davis Tarwater of Michigan took fourth in a time of 46.64. Fred Bousquet (Auburn) was fifth and Jayme Cramer (Stanford), who recorded the fastest swim in prelims, placed sixth.
