LAS VEGAS, NV, December 16. UNLV reports its Rebel men's and women's swimming and diving teams are set to host the UNLV Winter Invitational this weekend in Buchanan Natatorium on Saturday, Dec. 18 through Monday, Dec. 20.<\/p>\n

The meet features nine teams, highlighted by UNLV and top-20 Tennessee. Also participating will be Wyoming, San Diego State, Pacific, UC Santa Barbara, UC Davis, San Jose State, Cal State Northridge, and UC Bakersfield. The preliminaries began at 10 am all three days, with finals set to start at 5:30 pm. <\/p>\n

The Rebel men will see action for the first time since Nov. 13, and are 3-1 on the year. Leading them is Joe Bartoch, who two weeks ago won the 100 meter butterfly at the US Open Championships in San Antonio, Texas. <\/p>\n

UNLV's women's team comes into this weekend after having lost its first three meets before bouncing back to win four straight, including a win over defending Mountain West Conference champion BYU. The Rebels, 3-1 in league action, and San Diego State will also have their performances this weekend count as this year's dual meet between the two conference rivals.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
