LANCASTER, PA, December 14. THE 9th Annual Trident TYR Holiday Classic was held her over the Dec 10-12, 2004 weekend and was representative of early December Invitationals that have dotted the country.<\/p>\n

In Lancaster, part of the Middle Atlantic LSC and Eastern Zone structure, the highlights included fine backstrokes from 16year-old IM specialist Julia Smit, TVSC, at :55.20 and 1:56.62.<\/p>\n
A new name had possibly the most impressive swim. Another 16 year old, Anne Marie Botek, Eagles, exploded to a :22.84 50 freestyle. She added a fine :54.68 100 butterfly, but the :22.84 is a special number. Remember that name in the sprints for future national and international events.
\nAnother fine girl\u2019s swim came from Jamie Marks, (16) SEA, in the 200 breaststroke at 2:17.96.<\/p>\n
The top boys effort was turned in by Patrick Schirk PTFY (17) – 200 back 1:47.51<\/p>\n
The quality depth of the meet was shown in at least 8 new pool records.<\/p>\n
