November 21.  MARYLAND took the titles, but again Richmond\u2019s Brooke Boncher stole the show, as the three-day Terrapin Cup Invitational concluded Saturday night.<\/p>\n<p>Boncher closed out a great meet with a sub-50 second 100 freestyle.  Her :49.79 missed the NCAA Div. I \u201cA\u201d standard by only 0.01 seconds.  It was her third personal best, school and A-10 record of the meet.  Spider teammate Mary Adams won the 200 breaststroke with a 2:17.78, also a Div. I \u201cB\u201d cut.  The only other Div. I \u201cB\u201d cut came from Ryan Smith, UConn, in her 200 back win at 1:59.33.<\/p>\n<p>Maryland Terrapins wrote the rest of the story.<\/p>\n<p>The Terp women dominated as a team, scoring almost twice as many points as their nearest competitor. They finished with a total of 1,341, while second-place Richmond had 698.5. The men 1,161.5 team points, defeating runner-up Connecticut (1,017.5). <\/p>\n<p>Maryland got NCAA \u201cB\u201d standards from freshman Meghan Sackett (16:28.96) and senior Elizabeth Lavell (16:44.74) in the 1,650-yard freestyle.  Seniors Marina Mulyayeva (Almaty, Kazakhstan) and Cynthia Weir (Irwin, Pa.) swam &#39;B&#39; cuts in the 100-yard freestyle, tying for second place in 51.20.  Megan Knepper swam a &#39;B&#39; cut in the 200-yard backstroke, taking second place in 1:59.47.  The 400-yard freestyle relay team of Miller, Weir, Finkler and Mulyayeva(:50.16 anchor) swam a &#39;B&#39; cut time to win in 3:23.89.  <\/p>\n<p>On the men&#39;s side, senior Chris Brandenberger (Stony Brook, N.Y.) swam his first &#39;B&#39; cut of the season, winning the 200-back in 1:47.05. <\/p>\n<p>Final Team Scores<br \/>\nWomen:<br \/>\n1.
