JUNIOR All-American Sam Morgan won the 500 and 1000-freestyle events to lead the Georgia Tech men\u2019s swimming and diving team to a 140-97 victory over NC State on Friday night, while the Tech women dropped a close 122-121 decision to the Wolfpack, according to GT reports.<\/p>\n<p>Morgan posted times of 4:34.85 and 9:17.79 in the 500 and 1000 free events, respectively.  Freshman Elizabeth Stowe finished first in the women\u2019s 500 free with a time of 5:00.07.<\/p>\n<p>Sophomore Tony Burkhardt led the diving for the Jackets with first-place finishes on the one- and three-meter springboards.  Burkhardt tallied NCAA Zone qualifying marks of 318.23 and 299.10.  Junior Laurissa Prystaj posted NCAA Zone marks of 269.55 and 272.63 to finish second in both events to lead the women.<\/p>\n<p>Senior Jaclyn Keys posted a time of 24.63 in the women\u2019s 50 free to capture the event for the Rambling Wreck.  Junior Jason Howard picked up a win for Tech in the men\u2019s 200 free with a time of 1:42.91.<\/p>\n<p>Also registering wins for the women were juniors Ashley Kracke and Meghan DeVinney.  Kracke posted a season-best time of 2:05.28 in the 200 backstroke, while DeVinney finished with a season-best time of 2:04.33 in the 200 butterfly.  Senior Matt Figh tallied a first-place finish in the men\u2019s 200 fly with a season-best time of 1:52.18.<\/p>\n<p>Sophomore Ryan Bishop posted a season-best time of 1:53.37 in the men\u2019s 200 individual medley to finish first for the Jackets.<\/p>\n<p>The Rambling Wreck will return home for a dual meet against defending ACC champions Virginia on Friday, Nov. 12.
