LOVELAND, Colo., September 29. IN an unprecedented move, officials from the China Swimming Association and a delegation of top Chinese coaches are coming to the United States to tour two outstanding aquatic facilities. <\/p>\n
Colorado Time Systems will host the party of eight on its tour. CTS equipment is installed at both Auburn University and the Olympic Training Center in Colorado Springs. <\/p>\n
The Chinese delegation will be attending the 2004 FINA World Championships, the FINA Sports Medecine conference and the World Swimming Coaches clinic in Indianapolis, October 7-11. From there, CTS will take them on a tour of Auburn University. The University staff will host the delegation as they tour the facility and glean some training information from the Head Coach, David Marsh. Auburn University has won both men\u2019s and women\u2019s NCAA Championships back-to-back in 2003 and 2004. Auburn University uses Colorado Time Systems\u2019 training tools exclusively.<\/p>\n
Next stop on the tour is the Olympic Training Center in Colorado Springs, where USA Swimming and US Olympic training staff will host the visitors. A banquet has been scheduled, as have some high level meetings to discuss the possibility of an athlete exchange program between the two countries.
