SHENANDOAH, Texas, July 26. CLAIRE Brandt won her third event of the meet and Alamo Area Aquatic Association took home the combined team title during the final night of racing at the Speedo Champions Series sectional meet hosted by The Woodlands Swim Team in Shenandoah, Texas.<\/p>\n
Jaden Bellina of Pearland Aquatics picked up the first win of the final night of racing, touching first in the women\u2019s 200 IM in 2:19.86. No other swimmers cracked 2:20, as Mei Lynn Colby of Academy of Texas hit the wall second in 2:20.97, followed by North Texas Nadadore Audrey McMurry in 2:22.71. Meanwhile, First Colony\u2019s Antoine Marc earned his first win of the week with a 2:06.85 in the men\u2019s final, just ahead of Blue Tide Aquatics\u2019 Jordan Jones (2:07.31) and Longhorn Aquatics\u2019 Grant Rogers (2:07.32).<\/p>\n
Aggie Swim Club\u2019s Colleen Konetzke just missed breaking the 17-minute mark in the women\u2019s 1500 free, dropping over six seconds from her personal best and touching first in 17:00.28. Kimberly Phillips of Longhorn Aquatics also registered a best time of 17:02.77 in finishing second, while Lakeside Aquatic Club\u2019s Alecia McGillivray dropped almost 20 seconds to take third in 17:08.99. Lost Creek Aquatics\u2019 Mattias Glenesk took home the men\u2019s distance freestyle title with a 15:53.51, more than 23 seconds in front of second place finisher Andrew Ellison of Cypress Fairbanks (16:17.07). Alex Nickell, competing unattached, rounded out the top three in 16:17.24.<\/p>\n
Claire Brandt of the Dallas Mustangs led a group of four women under 27 in the women\u2019s 50 free final, stopping the clock in 26.47 for her third win of the meet. Emily Williams of Longhorn Aquatics came in second in 26.70, slightly ahead of Rebecca Millard (26.75). Blue Tide Aquatics\u2019 Alexander Hancock knocked off Aggie Swim Club\u2019s Kyle Troskot by the slimmest of margins for the men\u2019s title, 23.23 to 23.24. Jacob Gonzalez, competing unattached, took third in 23.54.<\/p>\n
Rice Aquatics won the women\u2019s 400 medley relay as the foursome of Shannon Foreman, Rachel Moody, Casey Clark and Cora McKenzie posted a 4:27.35 to top The Woodlands\u2019 Jennifer Reese, Natalie Mueller, Meaghan Wisenbaker and Laura Ramirez (4:28.26). Fort Worth Area Swim Team rounded out the top three with Carla Gonzalez, Rayann Jaryszak, Summer Campbell and Alexandra Lakota posting a 4:28.64. Streamline Aquatics recorded a four second win in the men\u2019s relay with Andrii Nikishenko, Thiago Parravicini, David Moore and Connor Hennessy touching in 3:53.57. Alamo Area Aquatic Association got to the wall second in 3:57.20 thanks to Christopher McAnany, Angelo Miguel Martin, Andrew Skowronek and Aaron Brysch. Owen Pink, Jordan Jones, Alexander Hancock and Mitchell Glander gave Blue Tide Aquatics a third place finish in 3:59.20.<\/p>\n
Alamo Area Aquatic Association recorded 629 points in the combined team standings to top Longhorn Aquatics (571 points) and the Dallas Mustangs (438 points) for the win. Alamo also won the men\u2019s title with 513 points, while Longhorn Aquatics took home the women\u2019s trophy with 359 points.<\/p>\n
