HEAD US men\u2019s swim coach Eddie Reese made it clear at the team press conference yesterday that there was \u201cno time trial planned at all\u201d in relation to the men\u2019s 400 free relay, which will be contested on Day Two of competition. <\/p>\n<p>\u201cI don\u2019t want to put added pressure on those guys that are swimming events every day (read that as meaning Michael Phelps) so in the end we might have to go with gut instinct,\u201d said coach Reese when asked about relay selections yet again.<\/p>\n<p>The latest word from pool deck suggests USA is the popular pick for gold from the Russians, Italians and the Aussies.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>By Stephen J.
