HUNTINGTON BEACH, Calif., June 29. THIS year the U.S. Olympic Trials will test not only America's best swimmers, but will challenge modern day swimsuit technology. TYR Sport, the largest privately held performance swimwear manufacturer in North America, will have over 60 Olympic hopefuls competing in the revolutionary Aqua Shift <\/p>\n

The Aqua Shift was tested for more than two years at the world's
\nmost advanced flume research facility: the Center for Research and Education in Special Environments at the University of Buffalo. Aqua Shift utilizes Tripwire(tm) Technology to redirect the water flow around the body, reducing the overall drag imposed upon the swimmer. In a swimming competition where winning a race is determined by a minute measurement of time, every second counts.<\/p>\n

Olympic hopefuls will be wearing the Aqua Shift to help earn a spot on the US Olympic Swim Team. Erik Vendt, 2000 Olympic Silver Medalist, will compete in the Aqua Shift suit during the 400 IM and 1500m freestyle. <\/p>\n

Other Aqua Shift competitors include Mark Gangloff, Bryce Hunt,
\nDemerae Christianson, and Heather Kemp at the Long Beach Swim Stadium
