SHENANDOAH, Texas, July 24. CYPRESS Fairbanks\u2019 Chelsie Miller won her second event of the meet tonight to highlight the third night of finals at the Speedo Champions Series sectional meet in Shenandoah.<\/p>\n
Alexandra Buscher of Dads Club Swim Team picked up the first win of the night, posting the top time in the women\u2019s 200 free at 2:02.55. Rachel Grooms of Cypress Fairbanks sliced almost two and a half seconds from her prelim time to finish second in 2:04.04, slightly ahead of Longhorn Aquatics\u2019 Erin Yeager (2:04.81). Alamo Area Aquatics Association\u2019s Luke Shaw dropped two seconds from his morning swim to take the men\u2019s 200 free title in 1:52.68. Longhorn Aquatics\u2019 Patrick Dunne hit the wall second in 1:53.00, with First Colony\u2019s Antoine Marc in third at 1:53.75.<\/p>\n
Cypress Fairbanks\u2019 Chelsie Miller, winner of the women\u2019s 800 free on night one, picked up win number two with a 4:47.80 in the 400 IM, a nine second drop from prelims. Jaden Bellina of Pearland Aquatics touched second in 4:56.93, while Kathryn Miles of Longhorn Aquatics rounded out the top three in 4:58.65. Alex Tooley, competing unattached, took more than five seconds off his seed time to win the men\u2019s 400 IM in 4:27.46, well ahead of Blue Tide Aquatics\u2019 Jordan Jones (4:30.57) and First Colony\u2019s Antoine Marc (4:32.36).<\/p>\n
Lakeside Aquatic Club\u2019s Kara Guenther, Alecia McGillivray, Megan Hanson and Alexandra Sellers got to the wall first in the women\u2019s 800 free relay with an 8:33.54. Pauline Kerr, Tiffany Futscher, Claire Brandt and Lauren Murski gave the Dallas Mustangs a second place finish in 8:35.19, while Audrey McMurry, Emily Zapinski, Lindsay Schultz and Rebecca Upton of the North Texas Nadadores touched third in 8:40.52.<\/p>\n
Alamo Area Aquatics Association\u2019s quartet of Aaron Morn, Aaron Brysch, Andrew Skowronek and Luke Shaw had the best time in the men\u2019s relay at 7:46.29. Jason Head, Carson Klein, Austin Whalen and Grayson Magruder of the North Texas Nadadores finished second in 7:48.35, while Alexander Hancock, Mitchell Glander, Owen Pink and Jordan Jones gave Blue Tide Aquatics a third place swim with a 7:49.89.<\/p>\n
