DALE Neuburger, President of the Indiana Sports Corporation, takes office this month as the new Chairman of the Board of the International Swimming Hall of Fame (ISHOF) in Fort Lauderdale, Florida.  <\/p>\n<p>The announcement was made by ISHOF President and CEO, Dr. Sam Freas.<\/p>\n<p>Neuburger, 54, currently president of US Aquatic Sports, a Vice President of swimming\u2019s international governing body FINA, and a former president of USA Swimming, said his priorities as ISHOF Chairman include \u201ccreating greater financial stability so the Hall can carry out its mission, and increasing the visibility of the Hall within the swimming community.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cAs I\u2019ve grown older, I\u2019ve come to appreciate the importance of the historical perspective,\u201d Neuburger said.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe have a responsibility to pass along the inspiring stories and the great history of our sport to the next generation.  I see my job at the Hall of Fame as seeing to it that we are doing all we can to support and nurture the sport for the future.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The International Swimming Hall of Fame celebrates its fortieth anniversary this year.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla., January 21.
