Blue Devils Secure First 2028 Verbal From Breaststroker Henry Yang<\/strong><\/p>\n

NEW COMMIT:\u00a0<\/strong>Duke University has scored its first public verbal commitment on the men’s side from\u00a0Henry Yang\u00a0<\/strong>of San Marino, Calif. Yang is a Junior National qualifier who specializes in breaststroke.<\/p>\n

Regarding his commitment, he said:<\/p>\n

“I\u2019m thrilled to announce my commitment to continue my athletic and academic career at Duke University. I\u2019d like to thank my family and friends for supporting me through the ups and downs, and a special thank you to @dukeswimdive<\/a> for the opportunity and for making me feel right at home. GO BLUE DEVILS \ud83d\udd35\ud83d\ude08\ud83d\udd31”<\/strong><\/span><\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Yang, who trains year-round with Rose Bowl Aquatics, finaled in the 50m breast this past summer at Junior Nationals after placing 13th in that event, plus 17th in both the 100m breast and 200m breast, at Sacramento Futures.<\/p>\n

Last winter, Yang placed 22nd in the 100 breast at Juniors West. He then to take sixth in the 100 breast, seventh in the 50 breast and 12th in the 200 breast at Oceanside Speedo Sectionals.<\/p>\n
