Carmel Swim Club’s Leah Debosch Verbals to Louisville for 2028<\/strong><\/p>\n

NEW COMMIT:\u00a0<\/strong>Carmel, Ind. native\u00a0Leah Debosch\u00a0<\/strong>has announced her intention to continue her academic and swimming career at the University of Louisville beginning in Fall 2028. A U.S. Open qualifier, Debosch excels in backstroke and IM.<\/p>\n

She will join\u00a0Helena Tripp<\/strong><\/a>,\u00a0Peyton McDaniel<\/a>\u00a0<\/strong>and Kaylee Richmond<\/a>\u00a0<\/strong>in Louisville as a member of the Cardinals\u2019 Class of 2032.<\/p>\n

Regarding her commitment, she said:<\/p>\n

“I\u2019m so incredibly honored and blessed to announce my verbal commitment to the University of Louisville. I want to thank my family for always supporting me and always being by my side. Also thanks to all my coaches who\u2019ve helped me become the swimmer I am today. And to all my teammates, thanks for always pushing me and making practice a place I love to be. Lastly thank you to all the coaches and people at Louisville who have made this possible and have made Louisville such an incredible place I can\u2019t wait to spend the next 4!! GO CARDS \ud83d\udda4\u2764\ufe0f”<\/strong><\/span><\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Debosch, who trains year-round with Carmel Swim Club, last competed at Summer Nationals where she earned a best time in the 200m IM (2:17.48). That was after she finaled in the 200m back (2:16.48) and 200m IM at TYR Pro Swim Series – Indianapolis, notching a best time in the former event.<\/p>\n

Last winter, Debosch competed in five individual events and two relays at Juniors West, clocking personal bests in five races. She had a great showing at Four Corner Speedo Sectionals in March, finishing fourth in the 200 back and 400 IM, sixth in the 200 IM and 10th in the 200 breast.<\/p>\n
