Mingmuang is a Junior National qualifier who specializes in backstroke.<\/p>\n<p>Regarding her commitment, she said:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p><span style=\"color: #000080\"><strong>&#8220;I\u2019m thrilled to announce my verbal commitment to continue my academic and athletic career at the University of Illinois! I\u2019m incredibly grateful to my family, friends and coaches, especially coaches, Dave, Justin, Ethan, Gerald and Max for their constant support and guidance over the years. A special thank you as well to Coaches, Jeana, Jerod and Zach for this amazing opportunity. I can\u2019t wait to be part of such an incredible team. Go Illini!!&#8221;<\/strong><\/span><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>Mingmuang, who trains year-round with Chicago Wolfpack Aquatic Club, capped off her long course season at NCSA Summer Championships where she placed 17th in the 100m back. Back in March, she earned silver in the 50 back and bronze in the 200 back at Illinois Short Course Seniors, also placing fourth in the 100 back.<\/p>\n<p>Her best times include:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>50 back &#8211; 25.84<\/li>\n<li>100 back &#8211; 55.21<\/li>\n<li>200 back &#8211; 1:59.87<\/li>\n<li>100 fly &#8211; 56.79<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Currently a junior at Whitney Young High School, Mingmuang placed sixth in the 100 back at the 2026 Illinois State Championships.
