NCSA 200 Breast Gold Medalist Odette Brown Verbally Commits to USC for 2028<\/strong><\/p>\n

NEW COMMIT:\u00a0<\/strong>Greer, S.C. native\u00a0Odette Brown\u00a0<\/strong>has pledged her verbal commitment to the University of Southern California for Fall 2028. Brown is a member of the 2026-27 U.S. National Junior Team in the 200 breast.<\/p>\n

She will join Cassie Espinoza<\/strong><\/a> in Los Angeles as a member of the Trojans’ Class of 2032.<\/p>\n

Regarding her commitment, she said:<\/p>\n

“I am beyond excited and incredibly grateful to announce my verbal commitment to the University of Southern California! \u2764\ufe0f\ud83d\udc9b I want to start by thanking my parents, my sister, my teammates, and my friends for their endless love, encouragement, and support throughout this journey. I am also so grateful to all of the amazing coaches I had the opportunity to meet throughout the recruiting process. A very special thank you to Coach Carlton, Coach Karl, and Coach Becky for helping me get to this point. I am incredibly grateful for everything you have done for me! Finally, I want to thank Coach Lea, Coach Keith, and the entire USC coaching staff for believing in me and giving me this incredible opportunity to continue both my academic and swimming career at USC. Brown does her club swimming with Team Greenville and won the 200m breast at NCSA Summer Championships where she also placed seventh in the 100m breast as well as the 200m free. She raced three events at Juniors East last December before going on to have a great showing at South Carolina Short Course Seniors in February. There, she earned best times in all her events and won the 200 breast and 200 IM.<\/p>\n
