Kohan is a versatile Junior National qualifier.<\/p>\n<p>She will join\u00a0<strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.swimmingworldmagazine.com\/news\/columbus-native-kiera-powers-gives-ohio-state-first-2028-verbal-commitment\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Kiera Powers<\/a>\u00a0<\/strong>in Columbus as a member of the Buckeyes&#8217; Class of 2032.<\/p>\n<p>Regarding her commitment, she said:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p><span style=\"color: #c70e0e\"><strong>&#8220;I am so humbled and excited to announce my verbal commitment to continue my academic and athletic career at THE Ohio State University! First, thank you to my parents for everything you do. Thank you for all the sacrifices you made to help me get where I am today. So excited and GO BUCKS!!&#8221;<\/strong><\/span><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>Kohan does her club swimming with Greater Johnstown Community YMCA and had a great showing at the Allegheny Mountain Long Course Age Group Championships this past summer where she earned best times in all her events and collected five gold medals.<\/p>\n<p>Last winter, Kohan was a three-time finalist at YMCA Short Course Nationals, highlighted by sixth place in the 200 back and seventh place in the 100 back.<\/p>\n<p>Her best times include:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>50 free &#8211; 23.22<\/li>\n<li>100 free &#8211; 50.48<\/li>\n<li>50 back &#8211; 25.74<\/li>\n<li>100 back &#8211; 55.27<\/li>\n<li>200 back &#8211; 2:00.07<\/li>\n<li>200 IM &#8211; 2:05.06<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Currently a junior at Westmont Hilltop High School, Kohan won the 50 free and the 100 free at the 2026 Pennsylvania 2A State Championships.
