On the women&#8217;s side, Texas beat Indiana 188-112 to augment a 250-50 win over Northwestern. Indiana defeated the Wildcats, 241-59.<\/p>\n<h4>Men\u2019s Results<\/h4>\n<ul>\n<li>Texas 224, Northwestern 76<\/li>\n<li>Texas 177.5, Indiana 122.5<\/li>\n<li>Indiana 224, Northwestern 76<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h4>Women\u2019s Results<\/h4>\n<ul>\n<li>Texas 250, Northwestern 50<\/li>\n<li>Texas 188, Indiana 112<\/li>\n<li>Indiana 241, Northwestern 59<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The meet at the Counsilman Billingsley Aquatic Center was swum in short-course meters as a prep for the World Championships ahead in December.<\/p>\n<p>Maurer led the way for Texas with a win in the 200 freestyle in 1:44.08 in a 1-2 finish with teammate <strong>Laon Kim\u2019s<\/strong> 1:44.12. Maurer also claimed the 400 free in 3:44.05.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/texaslonghorns.com\/documents\/2026\/10\/9\/Indiana-Texas-Northwestern_tri-meet_results__Oct_9_.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Meet Results<\/a><\/li>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.swimmingworldmagazine.com\/meet\/sec-swimming\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">SEC Swimming News<\/a><\/li>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.swimmingworldmagazine.com\/meet\/big-ten-swimming\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Big Ten Swimming News<\/a><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Texas struck at what is usually Indiana&#8217;s strong points. Texas claimed a 1-2-3 finish in the men&#8217;s 100 breaststroke, led by <strong>Campbell McKean<\/strong> in a time of 57.34. <strong>Nate Germonprez<\/strong> and <strong>Luka Mladenovic<\/strong> followed.<\/p>\n<p>Texas also swept both diving events, with <strong>Luke Forester<\/strong> winning both. He scored 360.15 points on 1-meter for a 1-2 result with Jacob Jones, then won 3-meter with a score of 386.95, just edging Indiana\u2019s <strong>Jacob Schade<\/strong> by three points.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Rafael Fente-Damers<\/strong> won the 100 free, getting the better of Indiana&#8217;s <strong>Mikkel Lee<\/strong> after Lee had gone 21.54 to win the 50 by .13 over the Frenchman. Fente-Damers won the 100 in 47.15.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Kuzey Tuncelli<\/strong> won the 800 free to start the meet in 7:42.39. Mladenovic added a third-place finish in the 200 individual behind Maurer, who was second, to thirds in both breaststroke events. <strong>Will Modglin<\/strong> won the 100 backstroke in 50.45, ahead of <strong>Owen McDonald<\/strong> of Indiana, with whom he tied for second in the 200 back behind the victorious 1:53.77 of Northwestern\u2019s <strong>Oliver Kos<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>Texas won both relays, going 1:33.20 in the 200 medley relay to edge Indiana by 0.15 seconds. That team was comprised of Modglin, Germonprez, <strong>Rowan Cox<\/strong> and Fente-Damers. The Longhorns finished the meet by capturing the 400 free relay in 3;09.41 via Fente-Damers, Germonprez, Modglin and Kim.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Josh Bey<\/strong> and <strong>Raekown Noel<\/strong> won two events each for Indiana. Bey claimed the 200 breast in 2:04.28 ahead of McKeen, then won the 200 IM over Maurer in 1:55.11.<\/p>\n<p>Noel did the butterfly double, winning the 200 in 1:52.02 and the 100 in 50.97.<\/p>\n<p>The women&#8217;s race was similarly close, though Texas used its depth to eventually pull away.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Piper Enge<\/strong> was the star for Texas. She swam breaststroke on the winning 200 medley relay that set the tone with a time of 1:44:33 to edge Indiana by 0.05 seconds. Enge outdueled <strong>Anita Bottazzo<\/strong> to win the 100 breast in 1:04.63, winning by .11 seconds. Then she led a podium sweep in the 200 breast that effectively sealed the meet, her time of 2:24.12 leading <strong>Campbell Chase<\/strong> and <strong>Angie Coe<\/strong> to the wall.<\/p>\n<p>Chase was third in the 100 breast and won the 200 IM in 2:08.90. The latter was another 1-2-3, with <strong>Audrey Derivaux<\/strong> second and Coe third. Derivaux was also second in the 200 fly and the 200 back.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Jillian Cox<\/strong> won the 800 free in 8:13.56 and claimed the 400 free in 4:02.78.<\/p>\n<p>Texas swept both diving events, with <strong>Alejandra Estudillo<\/strong> defeating <strong>Lily Witte<\/strong> in both. Estudillo eased to victory on 1-meter by 30 points with a score of 336.55, then tallied 370.75 to claim 3-meter by 25 points.<\/p>\n<p>Texas bookended the meet with relay wins. <strong>Lillian Nesty,<\/strong> Enge, <strong>Mena Boardman<\/strong> and <strong>Eva Okaro<\/strong> went 1:44.33 on the opening medley. Nesty and Okaro joined <strong>Erin Gemmell<\/strong> and <strong>Nikolett Padar<\/strong> to produce a winning time of 3:31.45 in the 400 free relay.<\/p>\n<p>The individual standout of the meet was Indiana\u2019s <strong>Liberty Clark.<\/strong> She won three events, claiming the 200 free in 1:53.00 ahead of Padar and Gemmell, besting Okaro by .26 in the 50 to win in 23.92 and routing Gemmell in the 100 to win in 51.61, a margin of 1.6 seconds on the field.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Alex Shackell<\/strong> swept butterfly for the Hoosiers, going 56.57 in the 100 and 2:03.96 in the 200, more than two seconds ahead of Derivaux. <strong>Miranda Grana<\/strong> was untouched in backstroke, winning the 100 in 56.93 and the 200 in 2:03.68.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Texas Tops Indiana in 1-vs.-2 Dual Meet;
