Only three other Georgia Tech divers have scored more points in a 3-meter session.<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>Fowler steamed through the 1-meter session, building a 217.35 score through three dives before landing his inward 2 1\/2 somersault tuck to score 76.73 points, his highest-scored dive of the day. He landed three 75+ point dives and finished with a 419.18 score, a new program record.<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>Georgia Tech controlled the meet from the opening event, winning 29 of the 32 events. Tech placed first in 25 swimming events and won all four diving sessions. The men\u2019s team secured a 206-90 victory with the women\u2019s squad scoring 192 points to Emory\u2019s 105.<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>Freshman <strong>Kerem \u0130lyem<\/strong> had a strong debut, sweeping both the 100 and 200 breast races and notching a top-10 program time in the 200 breast event. His time of 1:57.45 makes him the 10th-fastest Tech swimmer in the discipline in only his first collegiate swim.<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>Fowler and \u0130lyem were just two of seven athletes to secure multiple event wins on the day. <strong>Leo Verschooten<\/strong> controlled the 50 and 100 free events as <strong>Hailey Dopson<\/strong> won both the women\u2019s 500 and 1000 free races. Freshman <strong>George Groves<\/strong> notched 200 and 500 free victories with Zara Masud placing first in both the 200 free and 100 fly races.
