Blue Devils Snag 2027 Verbal From Sprinter Teddy O\u2019Donnell <\/strong><\/p>\n

NEW COMMIT:\u00a0<\/strong>Duke University has scored a new verbal commitment for the 2027-28 season and beyond from Teddy O\u2019Donnell<\/strong> of Wilmette, Ill. O’Donnell is a Junior National qualifier who excels in sprint events.<\/p>\n

He will join\u00a0Aiden Yeo<\/a>\u00a0<\/strong>and Grant O\u2019Mara<\/a>\u00a0<\/strong>in Durham as a member of the Blue Devils\u2019 Class of 2031.<\/p>\n

Regarding his commitment, he said:<\/p>\n

“I\u2019m extremely excited and honored to announce my commitment to the admissions process at Duke University to continue my academic and athletic career! I\u2019d like to thank my family, friends, teammates and coaches for always being by my side and supporting me throughout this journey. I\u2019d also like to thank Coach Brian and the entire Duke Swimming and Diving staff for this amazing opportunity. Go Blue Devils!”<\/strong><\/span><\/p><\/blockquote>\n

O’Donnell does his club swimming with NASA Wildcat Aquatics and most recently finished 11th in the 50m fly and 21st in the 100m fly at Junior Nationals. His time of 24.61 in the 50m fly set a new Illinois LSC record. He also recorded five top-25 finishes at NCSA Spring Championships in March where his highest finish was a sixth-place showing in the 50 fly.<\/p>\n
