Pan Pacific Championships: Australia Goes 1-2 in Women’s 200 Fly Behind Brittany Castelluzzo<\/strong><\/p>\n

The Commonwealth Games brought a wholesale reconfiguration of best times for Brittany Castelluzzo.<\/strong> The Australian kept the good times rolling in Irvine Wednesday night.<\/p>\n

Castelluzzo won the women\u2019s 200 fly at the Pan Pacific Championships. She lowered her championship winning time from Commonwealth\u2019s to 2:06.24.<\/p>\n

Second was countrywoman Elizabeth Dekkers<\/strong> in 2:06.56. Tess Howley<\/strong> of the United States was third in 2:07.43. The fourth-fastest time of the night was via Caroline Bricker<\/strong> in the B final at 2:07.94, though she was third among Americans in prelims to miss out on the locked A final.<\/p>\n

Alex Shackell<\/strong> was the third American in the A final, and she finished fifth in 2:08.70, three tenths behind Chiho Mizuguchi<\/strong> of Japan. Shackell had been second at 150 meters, but her 35.30 was more than two seconds slower than the charge of Dekkers.<\/p>\n
