Butterflyer Lauren Fanucchi Chooses Vanderbilt for 2027<\/strong><\/p>\n

NEW COMMIT:\u00a0<\/strong>Vanderbilt University has recorded a new verbal commitment for the 2027-28 season and beyond from\u00a0Lauren Fanucchi\u00a0<\/strong>of Saratoga, Calif. Fanucchi is a Junior National qualifier who excels in fly and IM.<\/p>\n

She will join\u00a0Ariel Kong<\/a>\u00a0<\/strong>in Nashville as a member of the Commodores’ Class of 2031.<\/p>\n

Regarding her commitment, she said:<\/p>\n

“I am so EXCITED to announce my verbal commitment to pursue my academic and athletic career at Vanderbilt University!! I would like to thank my family and friends for their unwavering support throughout this journey, and my coaches and teammates for helping me get to where I am today. Finally, I want to express my sincere gratitude to Coach Jeremy for this incredible opportunity! ANCHOR DOWN!!”<\/strong><\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Fanucchi, who does her club swimming with Palo Alto Stanford Aquatics, most recently competed at the Super League Long Course Championships where she earned five best times and placed fourth in the 400m IM. She won the 200 fly at Far Westerns in April and raced four events at Juniors West in December.<\/p>\n
