The three-time world champion soared to the world record at last month\u2019s Sette Colli, slicing 0.03 from <strong>Sarah Sj\u00f6str\u00f6m\u2019s<\/strong> 2017 mark in 51.68.<\/p>\n<p>At the Dutch Championships, which ended on Sunday, Steenbergen \u2013 coached by <strong>Patrick Pearson<\/strong> in Eindhoven \u2013 went 51.82 for the third-fastest time in history and second in her own personal pantheon.<\/p>\n<p>It was her fourth time through the 52-second barrier, a depth unmatched by any other woman.<\/p>\n<p>She also set a 58.33 Dutch record in the 100 back and hit PBs in the 50 back (27.40) and 50 free (24.09) and will take on the 50\/100 free and 50\/100 back in the French capital.<\/p>\n<p>The 26-year-old won four golds \u2013 including the 100\/200 free double \u2013 at the 2022 Europeans in Rome \u2013 and has 12 continental medals in her collection.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Tes Schouten<\/strong> will return to top-level international competition, two years after Olympic 200 breast bronze in Paris.
