Multi-Time YMCA National Finalist Jane Kavanagh Verbals to Notre Dame for 2027<\/strong><\/p>\n

NEW COMMIT:\u00a0<\/strong>The University of Notre Dame has picked up a new verbal commitment for the 2027-28 season and beyond from\u00a0Jane Kavanagh <\/strong>of Westfield, New Jersey. Kavanagh is a versatile swimmer who is a Junior National qualifier.<\/p>\n

She will join Eleanor Geraghty<\/a>\u00a0<\/strong>as a member of the Fighting Irish’s Class of 2031.<\/p>\n

Regarding her commitment, she said:<\/p>\n

“I am soo excited to announce that I will be continuing my academic and athletic career at the University of Notre Dame! I would like to thank my parents, coaches, and teammates for helping me through this process. I would also like to thank Coach Mike and Coach Trevor and all the staff at Notre Dame for this amazing opportunity! GO IRISH”<\/strong><\/span><\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Kavanagh does her club swimming with Fanwood Scotch Plains YMCA and had four top-10 finishes at YMCA Short Course Nationals in April: second in the 200 free, fourth in the 200 back and 200 IM, and 10th in the 100 free. She won the 100 free, 200 free and 200 back at New Jersey 13&O Championships in March. Last summer, she was a five-time finalist at YMCA Long Course Nationals where her highest finish was a fifth-place showing in the 100m free.<\/p>\n
