Alabama\u2019s women\u2019s team finished 11th at NCAAs last year.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cMike is one of the best young coaches in the NCAA,\u201d Arizona State head coach <strong>Herbie Behm<\/strong> said <a href=\"https:\/\/thesundevils.com\/news\/2026\/06\/2\/michael-white-named-assistant-coach-for-sun-devil-swim-and-dive\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">in a press release<\/a>. \u201cHis interview blew me away with the innovative ideas he presented. I can\u2019t wait to start implementing those ideas and continue our growth at ASU.\u201d<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.swimmingworldmagazine.com\/meet\/big-12-swimming\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Big 12 Swimming News<\/a><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>White was a volunteer assistant at the University of Wisconsin in 2022-23, he helped the Badgers place 15th, its best finish since 2017, working with the freestyle, breaststroke and distance groups. He also was an assistant senior coach at Madison Aquatics Club.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI am incredibly honored to return to my home state and join this elite program,\u201d White said. \u201cI\u2019m proud to say that I am coming home. I can\u2019t thank Coach Herbie enough for the opportunity to join his incredible staff and help these young athletes grow and develop into the best individuals they can be. There are so many friends and mentors who have left their mark on this program, and I\u2019m excited for the opportunity to leave mine and help take this program to new heights. Go Devils!\u201d<\/p>\n<p>White was a state champion at Dobson High School. He attended St. Bonaventure from 2013-17, winning seven individual Atlantic 10 championships and setting three school records as a senior. A two-year team captain, he led the Bonnies to the 2014 A-10 team title.
