{"id":644182,"date":"2026-06-01T22:21:24","date_gmt":"2026-06-02T05:21:24","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.swimmingworldmagazine.com\/news\/?p=644182"},"modified":"2026-06-01T22:21:24","modified_gmt":"2026-06-02T05:21:24","slug":"tennessee-indiana-round-out-inaugural-college-swimming-league-roster","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.swimmingworldmagazine.com\/news\/tennessee-indiana-round-out-inaugural-college-swimming-league-roster\/","title":{"rendered":"Tennessee, Indiana Round Out Inaugural College Swimming League Roster"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Tennessee, Indiana Round Out Inaugural College Swimming League Roster<\/p>\n<p>Tennessee and Indiana were announced on Monday as the final two participants in the inaugural 2026-27 College Swimming League season.<\/p>\n<p>The last two additions make the inaugural squad, by traditional conference:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Indiana, Ohio State, Michigan (Big Ten)<\/li>\n<li>Tennessee, Alabama, Auburn, Georgia (SEC)<\/li>\n<li>Stanford, Louisville, California, NC State, Virginia (ACC)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&#8220;Indiana is excited to be one of the 12 founding participants in the college swimming league,&#8221; Indiana swimming coach <strong>Ray Looze<\/strong> said <a href=\"https:\/\/iuhoosiers.com\/news\/2026\/6\/1\/mens-swimming-and-diving-indiana-to-compete-in-the-first-college-swimming-league-season\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">in a press release<\/a>. &#8220;I believe this is truly the future of college swimming, and that the exposure and excitement this brings to our sport will have a tremendously positive impact to the popularity of college swimming for both spectator and linear television audiences!&#8221;<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>READ:<\/strong> <a href=\"https:\/\/www.swimmingworldmagazine.com\/news\/college-swimming-league-csl-will-launch-in-2026-aims-to-revolutionize-college-swimming\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">College Swimming League (CSL) Will Launch in 2026, Aims to Revolutionize College Swimming<\/a><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&#8220;Indiana is one of the most recognized names in college athletics, and they bring a passionate fanbase and the weight of the Big Ten with them,&#8221; CSL CEO <strong>Rob Kent<\/strong> said. &#8220;There&#8217;s a deep pride in college sports across that part of the country, and the Bloomington community is going to bring real energy to our inaugural season. We couldn&#8217;t be happier to have them on board.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>The first CSL season will include eight dual meets. Times in their dual meets will count toward NCAA qualification and count toward dual-meet requirements in the NCAA.<\/p>\n<p>The new additions mean that CSL has the following finishers from NCAAs last year, a grou that includes seven of the top 10 on the men\u2019s side and 10 of the top 12 on the women\u2019s side.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Men\u2019s: Indiana 3, Tennessee 5, NC State 6, Cal 7, Michigan 8, Virginia 9, Stanford 10, Louisville 12, Ohio State 13, Georgia 15, Auburn 17, Alabama 24<\/li>\n<li>Women\u2019s: Virginia 1, Stanford 2, Cal 4, Tennessee 5, Michigan 6, Indiana 7, Louisville 8, NC State 9, Alabama 11, Ohio State 12, Georgia 15, Auburn 25<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Tennessee, Indiana Round Out Inaugural College Swimming League Roster Tennessee and Indiana were announced on Monday as the final two participants in the inaugural 2026-27 College Swimming League season.
