She won the second semifinal heat of two.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Bella Sims<\/strong> had bossed the first heat with a time of 2:12.55. Third is <strong>Moji Pholjamjumrus<\/strong> of Nevada in 2:14.59.<\/p>\n<p>The final required 2:18 to get back. Among the finalists is Alabama commit <strong>Emma Bronson<\/strong> in fourth and 14-year-old Pleasanton Seahawk <strong>Ella Legg<\/strong> in sixth.<\/p>\n<h4>Men\u2019s 200 butterfly semifinals<\/h4>\n<p><strong>Henry McFadden<\/strong> led the way with a time of 1:59.91, the only one to break two minutes. Second was<strong> Charlie Cancelmo<\/strong> in 2:00.38. <strong>Joey Tepper<\/strong> set his second best time in as many swims, going 2:00.49 for third. <strong>Andres Brooks<\/strong> was fourth in 2:00.87.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Luca Urlando,<\/strong> who remains injured since before NCAAs, was a late scratch from prelims.<\/p>\n<h4>Women\u2019s 50 freestyle<\/h4>\n<p><strong>Kasia Wasick<\/strong> churned out another win, the 34-year-old going 24.41 to keep the field at bay. The Polish international was .18 seconds ahead of <strong>Taylor Ruck<\/strong> of Canada, who went 24.59. The Dutchman by way of Alabama went 21.92 to edge the field, with Virginia Tech\u2019s <strong>Brendan Whitfield<\/strong> in second in 21.99. Second was <strong>Rhyan White<\/strong> in 2:09.16, with <strong>Katharine Berkoff<\/strong> third in 2:10.87. Those appear to be the class of the field.<\/p>\n<p>Fourth place was <strong>Kennedi Dobson,<\/strong> though she had the 400 free final looming. She went 2:13.22 to easily make the final. Fifth was <strong>Lauren Lonsdale,<\/strong> the 15-year-old, in 2:13.59. Her best time before this meet was a 2:26.44.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Maddie Thornton<\/strong> went 2:16.80, and <strong>Sutton Forbis<\/strong> and <strong>Bridget Burton<\/strong> round out the final eight.<\/p>\n<h4>Men\u2019s 200 backstroke semifinals<\/h4>\n<p><strong>Keaton Jones<\/strong> led the way with a time of 1:57.11, dominating the field in his semifinal. <strong>Gavin Keough<\/strong> was second in 1:59.19, and <strong>Daniel Diehl<\/strong> was the only other swimmer to crack two minutes in 1:59.76.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Humberto Najera<\/strong> and <strong>Tommy Hagar<\/strong>\u00a0tied for fourth in 2:00.17, and <strong>Ethan Ekk<\/strong> was .03 behind them. Fellow Canadian <strong>Blake Tierney<\/strong> and Puerto Rican veteran <strong>Yeziel Morales<\/strong> rounded out the top eight advancing to Saturday\u2019s final.<\/p>\n<h4>Women\u2019s 400 freestyle<\/h4>\n<p><strong>Kennedi Dobson<\/strong> played her cards right in the double game, having plenty left to pull away steadily from the field in the 400 free. Her time of 4:07.64 was within a second of her best time, a 4:06.66 from 2025.<\/p>\n<p>Second place went to 1,500 winner <strong>Thilda Haell,<\/strong> who went 4:10.94. <strong>Marie Landreneau<\/strong> was third in 4:12.01.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Bella Sims<\/strong> finished her double by finishing fourth in 4:16.52.
