He\u2019ll have another chance to do that Friday night in Sacramento.<\/p>\n<p>Mijatovic led the way in prelims in the 400 free with a time of 3:52.89 on Friday. It\u2019s well off his best, but still more than a second better than the field.<\/p>\n<p>This stop of the Pro Swim Series includes semifinals for the 200-stroke events, meaning the 200 fly and 200 back Friday night.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.swimmingworldmagazine.com\/news\/pro-swim-series-sacramento-day-1-finals-luka-mijatovic-dominates-1500-freestyle-with-first-sub-1500-performance\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Day 1 Recap<\/a><\/li>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.swimmingworldmagazine.com\/news\/pro-swim-series-sacramento-day-2-finals-torri-huske-adds-two-more-wins-ryan-murphy-claims-50-back\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Day 2 Recap<\/a><\/li>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/swimmeetresults.tech\/USA-Swimming-TYR-Pro-Swim-Series-Sacramento-2026\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Live Results<\/a><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h4>Women\u2019s 200 butterfly<\/h4>\n<p><strong>Caroline Bricker<\/strong> led the way in prelims with a time of 2:10.92. That was 1.5 seconds up on <strong>Bella Sims,<\/strong> who went 2:12.46 in the latest entry of her busy program.<\/p>\n<p>It\u2019s a gap back to third-place <strong>Moji Pholjamjumrus<\/strong> of the University of Nevada in 2:16.20, followed .99 seconds later by <strong>Michaela Mattes.<\/strong> Georgia\u2019s <strong>Ieva Maluka<\/strong> is eighth and into semifinals.<\/p>\n<h4>Men\u2019s 200 butterfly<\/h4>\n<p><strong>Henry McFadden<\/strong> set himself a busy double. The winner of the 200 free started out with a win in prelims of the 200 fly, going 2:01.47. He was .19 seconds up on <strong>Joey Tepper<\/strong> of the Minnesota. Teen <strong>Charlie Cancelmo<\/strong> also cracked 2:02 to set the top of the A final. <strong>Andres Brooks<\/strong> of Puerto Rico was fourth in 2:02.37. <strong>Grant Sanders<\/strong> is in the mix in seventh.<\/p>\n<h4>Women\u2019s 50 freestyle<\/h4>\n<p>The ageless <strong>Kasia Wasick<\/strong> is still firing off 24s with regularity, this time a 24.97 to lead the way into the A final. <strong>Torri Huske<\/strong> is searching for another win in the 50, her time of 25.03 slotting her into second. <strong>Kalia Antoniou<\/strong> is third in 25.17, followed by <strong>Caroline Larsen<\/strong> in 25.21 and <strong>Taylor Ruck<\/strong> another tenth back.<\/p>\n<p>The A final will include Frenchwomen <strong>Marrie Wattel<\/strong> in sixth and <strong>Mary-Ambre Moluh<\/strong> in eighth, sandwiching Venezuelan international <strong>Lismar Lyon.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Among the non-starters who might\u2019ve challenged were <strong>Mia West<\/strong> and <strong>Liberty Clark.<\/strong><\/p>\n<h4>Men\u2019s 50 freestyle<\/h4>\n<p>Alabama\u2019s <strong>Sean Niewold<\/strong> was near a best time, leading the way in prelims in 21.76. He was a half-second clear of <strong>Dylan Carter<\/strong> in second, the Trinidad and Tobago veteran going 22.27. <strong>Santo Condorelli<\/strong> was third, with <strong>Michael Andrew<\/strong> fourth.<\/p>\n<p>The rest of the A final is international, with Canadian <strong>Ruslan Gaziev<\/strong> sixth, <strong>Nans Mazellier<\/strong> of France seventh and <strong>Lamar Taylor<\/strong> of the Bahamas eighth. <strong>Brendan Whitfield<\/strong> was fifth in 22.44 to get an American in there.<\/p>\n<p>Among the B finalists are <strong>Mikel Schreuders<\/strong> in ninth, <strong>Jonathan Tan<\/strong> in 10th, <strong>Jerry Fox<\/strong> in 12th and <strong>Yuri Kisil<\/strong> in 13th.<\/p>\n<h4>Women\u2019s 200 backstroke<\/h4>\n<p><strong>Phoebe Bacon<\/strong> led the way in a loaded 200 back in 2:11.19. She was eight tenths up on fellow Olympian <strong>Rhyan White,<\/strong> with <strong>Katharine Berkoff<\/strong> third in 2:12.81. They\u2019ll have semis to sort themselves for the final.<\/p>\n<p>Fourth was <strong>Kennedi Dobson<\/strong> in 2:14.95. <strong>Lauren Lonsdale,<\/strong> all of 14 years old, went 2:15.28. <strong>Torri Huske<\/strong> was 10th in 2:21.50.<\/p>\n<h4>Men\u2019s 200 backstroke<\/h4>\n<p>Off a strong swim in the 200 free, <strong>Keaton Jones<\/strong> led the way in 2:00.32 in the 200 back. Second was <strong>Ethan Ekk<\/strong> in 2:02.29, .03 up on NC State\u2019s <strong>Gavin Keough.<\/strong> Cal backstroke also put <strong>Humberto Najera<\/strong> in fourth place, while <strong>Daniel Diehl<\/strong> is the fourth of the 2:02s in prelims.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Jackson Hartzler<\/strong> led the rest in 2:03.29. <strong>Joey Tepper<\/strong> was seventh.<\/p>\n<h4>Women\u2019s 400 freestyle<\/h4>\n<p><strong>Kennedi Dobson<\/strong> held enough in reserve to lead the field in the 400 free in 4:11.39. <strong>Thilda Haell<\/strong> was second in 4:13.08, followed by <strong>Marie Landreneau<\/strong> and <strong>Bella Sims,<\/strong> the latter in 4:16.56.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Michaela Mattes<\/strong> was fifth in 4:18.25. <strong>Alexa McDevitt, Chloe Stepanek<\/strong> and <strong>Ava Chavez<\/strong> round out the top eight.<\/p>\n<h4>Men\u2019s 400 freestyle<\/h4>\n<p><strong>Luka Mijatovic<\/strong> led the way in 3:52.89, setting the pace by more than a second over the field. <strong>Henry McFadden<\/strong> is the one to watch, in third in 3:58.06.
