Claire Weinstein Pulls out of Sacramento Pro Series After Migraine Lands Her in ER<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

U.S. Olympian Claire Weinstein<\/strong> will not compete in the 2026 TYR Pro Swim Series in Sacramento this week.<\/p>\n

Weinstein pulled out of the event after experiencing a severe migraine headache that landed her in the emergency room.<\/p>\n

The Cal swimmer, competing for Sandpipers of Nevada, posted on social media that she endured “worst pain I have ever experienced. It felt like someone was crushing my brain. I think it was just me disregarding my body and what it needed.”<\/p>\n

Weinstein said she was dehydrated and exhausted and plans to rest and recover.<\/p>\n

The 19-year-old was the top seed in the 200 free in Sacramento and was also slated to swim the 100, 400 and the 800 freestyle events.<\/p>\n

Weinstein won the NCAA championship in the 500 freestyle and has been on the U.S. National Team, where she competed at the 2024 Paris Olympics and 2025 World Championships, earning relay medals.<\/p>\n
