He had started the three day meet on Friday by setting a best time of 27.64 in the 50 breast.<\/p>\n<p>A battle of the Arizona State spring depth punctuated the final day of the meet. In the men\u2019s 100 freestyle, <strong>Patrick Sammon<\/strong> bested the field with a time of 48.60 seconds. Five swimmers broke 50 seconds. <strong>Jonny Kulow<\/strong> followed in 49.45. <strong>Quin Seider<\/strong> was third in 49.55, followed by <strong>Remi Fabiani<\/strong> in 49.57 and <strong>Adam Chaney<\/strong> in 49.79.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.swimmingworldmagazine.com\/news\/adam-chaney-notches-win-in-50-freestyle-at-sun-devil-open-marie-wattel-victorious\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Adam Chaney and Marie Wattel Claim 50 Freestyle Victories at Sun Devil Open<\/a><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Chaney won the 50 backstroke on Saturday in 25.09. In that race, <strong>Ilya Kharun<\/strong> set a best time of 26.17. Kharun on Sunday won the 200 butterfly with little resistance from the field, going 1:58.08.<\/p>\n<p>Chaney was disqualified in the final of the 100 back, allowing <strong>Alex Desangles<\/strong> to win in 55.19 with <strong>JT Ewing<\/strong> second in 55.86.<\/p>\n<p>On the women\u2019s side, France\u2019s <strong>Albane Cachot<\/strong> set a best time in the 50 fly on Sunday in 26.31. that bested <strong>Miriam Sheehan\u2019s<\/strong> 27.14. Sheehan was second in the 100 fly, won by <strong>Julia Ullmann<\/strong> in 59.78, and second in the 100 back to <strong>Gerda Szilagyi.<\/strong> Szilagyi also won the 200 back in 2:14.27.<\/p>\n<p>Cachot won the 100 free on Sunday in 54.37, besting Sheehan\u2019s 56.58.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Filip Senc Samardzic<\/strong> won the 100 fly in 54.19 on Saturday, a race that did not include Kharun. The Canadian international also won the 50 fly in 24.15, edging <strong>Remi Fabiani\u2019s<\/strong> 24.24. <strong>Joel Nace<\/strong> was second in the 100 fly, then second a best time in the 200 fly at 2:02.47 for second there.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Marie Wattel<\/strong> won the women\u2019s 200 free, clocking in at 2:00.11. <strong>Grace Lindberg<\/strong> was second in a best time of 2:02.34, and she also set a PB of 2:18.95 to win the 200 fly on Sunday.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Grant House<\/strong> clocked in at 1:48.60 on Saturday to win the 200 free. <strong>Mattia Mauri<\/strong> followed in 1:50.29, .05 up on <strong>Tiago Behar<\/strong> and .15 ahead of Fabiani.<\/p>\n<p>On Sunday, Ewing won the 200 back in 2:00.65. <strong>Brayden Taivassalo<\/strong> claimed the 200 breast in 2:18.60
