Texas Hires Brandt Nigro from Army as Women\u2019s Associate Head Coach<\/strong><\/p>\n

The University of Texas on Monday hired Brandt Nigro<\/strong> away from Army as the associate head coach for the Longhorns women\u2019s team.<\/p>\n

Nigro has 13 years of college coaching experience, the last seven as the head coach of the men\u2019s and women\u2019s swimming and diving programs at West Point.<\/p>\n

\u201cBrandt is an exceptional fit for Texas,\u201d Texas head coach Carol Capitani<\/strong> said in a press release<\/a>. \u201cHis most recent experience as Head Coach at Army West Point and at NC State brings immediate depth and credibility to our staff. Brandt\u2019s energy, investment in his athletes, and his clear understanding of what it means to compete and succeed at this level made him a standout throughout this process.
