(Women&#8217;s Edition)<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>A scan of the all-time women&#8217;s event rankings reveals a collection of times that were produced during the sport&#8217;s super-suit era, which unfolded from 2008-09. The most notable performance from that stretch is undoubtedly the world record in the 200-meter butterfly, a 2:01.81 from China&#8217;s Liu Zige. That mark is under threat, however, as Canadian star Summer McIntosh gave it a nudge last year with a swim of 2:01.99.<\/p>\n<p>When analyzing the all-time top-25 performances and performers in women&#8217;s competition, it is interesting to note that there are only 25 performances still standing from the super-suit days, a number that is less than half of the men&#8217;s total, which sits at 51. More, of the 25 women&#8217;s marks still in the top-25, 10 come from the 200 butterfly.
