Shippensburg Hires Grad Andrew Hale as Head Coach<\/strong><\/p>\n

Shippensburg hired 2023 graduate Andrew Hale<\/strong> as the head coach of its men\u2019s and women\u2019s swimming coach.<\/p>\n

Hale replaces his former coach, Tim Verge,<\/strong> who retired at the end of the season after 27 years in charge<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Hale hasn\u2019t strayed far from the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference. After graduating, he spent two seasons as a graduate assistant for the women\u2019s team at Millersville \u2013 under former Ship teammate Evan Anthony<\/strong> \u2013 then was a full-time assistant at Clarion in 2025-26.<\/p>\n

“I am super excited to be the next head coach at Shippensburg University,” Hale said in a press release<\/a>. “I am even more excited to be returning to the program where I developed as a swimmer, student, and individual for five years. It is an honor to be taking over for Tim Verge and to continue to strengthen and develop the program.”<\/p>\n
