Apostolos Siskos and Apostolos Christou Shine at Acropolis Open; Siskos Breaks Another Greek Record<\/strong><\/p>\n

A few days after establishing a new national record in the 200-meter backstroke, Apostolos Siskos<\/strong> broke another Greek record, this time in the 200 butterfly. Racing at the Acropolis Open in Athens, Siskos clocked a time of 1:56.13 to better the former standard of 1:56.23. The old record was set by Stefanos Dimitriadis<\/strong> during prelims of the 2015 World Championships in Kazan.<\/p>\n

Siskos excelled at the Acropolis Open, as his national record in the 200 fly was complemented by a 1:54.12 performance in the 200 backstroke. That time not only set a Greek record, it is the top time in the world for 2026. Siskos was a finalist in the 200 backstroke at last year’s World Championships in Singapore, placing fifth. This summer, he is targeting the European Championships in Paris<\/a>.<\/p>\n
