Georgia Tech Lands 2027 Verbal From In-State Standout Tessa Steger<\/strong><\/p>\n

NEW COMMIT:\u00a0<\/strong>Georgia Tech has scored a new verbal commitment for the 2027-28 season and beyond from in-state standout Tessa Steger<\/strong> of Bogart, Ga. Steger is a Futures qualifier who excels in distance freestyle and IM.<\/p>\n

She will join Aibhlinn King<\/a>\u00a0<\/strong>in Atlanta as a member of the Yellow Jackets’ Class of 2031.<\/p>\n

Regarding her commitment, she said:<\/p>\n

\u201cI am so honored and excited to announce my verbal commitment to continue my academic and swimming career at Georgia Tech! I want to thank my family, friends, and coaches Harv, Adam, Scott and Jonathan for all the support they\u2019ve given me over the years. I\u2019d also like to thank all of my teammates from ABSC for helping me throughout this journey. A special thank you to coaches Mel, Iago, and Miles for giving me the opportunity to be a part of their program. All glory to God, and GO JACKETS!!!”<\/strong><\/span><\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Steger does her club swimming with Athens Bulldog Swim Club and won the mile at the Georgia Senior State Championship in December where she also took third in the 400 IM and fourth in the 500 free. Last summer, she raced to seventh place in the 400m IM at Ocala Futures.<\/p>\n
