Qian is a Junior National qualifier.<\/p>\n<p>Regarding her commitment, she said:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p><strong>&#8220;I am so excited to announce my verbal commitment to the admissions process at Cornell University to continue my academic and athletic careers! I want to thank my family, friends, teammates, as well as Coach Joe and Coach Brandon, for always believing and supporting me. I also want to give a special thank you to Coach Pat and Coach Noah for giving me this incredible opportunity. GO BIG RED!&#8221;<\/strong><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>Qian does her club swimming with Rancho San Dieguito and most recently competed at Oceanside Speedo Sectionals where she had six top-20 finishes and three new best times. Back in December, she won the 50 free and placed second in the 50 fly at the SI Winter Age Group Championships.<\/p>\n<p>Her best times include:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>50 fly &#8211; 24.60<\/li>\n<li>100 fly &#8211; 54.57<\/li>\n<li>50 back &#8211; 26.31<\/li>\n<li>100 back &#8211; 55.95<\/li>\n<li>50 free &#8211; 23.87<\/li>\n<li>100 free &#8211; 51.46<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Currently a junior at Torrey Pines High School, Qian placed 18th in the 100 fly at the 2025 CIF State Championships while helping her 4&#215;50 free relay take fifth. She took second in the 100 back and fifth in the 100 fly at the CIF San Diego Section Championship the week prior.<\/p>\n<p>Cornell finished sixth at the 2026 Ivy League Championships.
