Brown Hires Texas Assistant Mitch Dalton to Lead Women\u2019s Program<\/strong><\/p>\n

Brown University on Monday announced the hiring of Mitch Dalton<\/strong> to lead its women\u2019s swimming and diving program.<\/p>\n

Dalton spent six years at the University of Texas with the women\u2019s swimming and diving program since being hired in 2020<\/a>, most recently as an association head coach. The Longhorns won four Big 12 and two SEC team championships with Dalton on the staff. Texas finished in the top three of NCAAs all six seasons with Dalton.<\/p>\n

“I’d like to thank Grace Calhoun for this opportunity,” Dalton said in a press release<\/a>. “At a time of uncertainty for Olympic sports, her vision, belief, and support for swimming and diving stand out. I am also grateful to Ray Grant for leading the search committee and for making me feel so supported in this move. It was clear from the outset that Brown cares about its student-athletes, its coaches, and its women’s swimming and diving program. I can’t wait to meet the team, speak with alumni, hit the recruiting trail, and get to work to return Brown to the top of the Ivy League.\u201d<\/p>\n
