North Carolina State Champ Madi Hertzig Chooses Yale for 2027<\/strong><\/p>\n

NEW COMMIT:\u00a0<\/strong>Yale University has received a new verbal commitment* for the 2027-28 season and beyond from\u00a0Madi Hertzig\u00a0<\/strong>of Waxhaw, North Carolina. Hertzig is a Junior National qualifier.<\/p>\n

She will join Chloe Meyer-Blohm<\/a>\u00a0<\/strong>in New Haven as a member of the Bulldogs’ Class of 2031.<\/p>\n

Regarding her commitment, she said:<\/p>\n

“I am so excited to announce my verbal commitment to the admissions process at Yale University to continue my academic and athletic career! I\u2019d like to thank my coaches, family, and friends for always believing in me and for their support over the years. I\u2019d also like to thank Coach Jim and Coach Dana for this amazing opportunity. GO BULLDOGS!!”<\/strong><\/span><\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Hertzig does her club swimming with Mecklenburg Swim Association and excels in freestyle and butterfly. She most recently competed at Cary Speedo Sectionals last month where she earned three best times and placed 11th in the 200 free. Last summer, she recorded five top-16 finishes at North Carolina Long Course Seniors before going on to compete at Junior Nationals.<\/p>\n
