I didn\u2019t think I could get that result so that\u2019s now the marker, that\u2019s the baseline, so how do we turn that into a low 57 again. (Photo by Morgan Harlow\/Getty Images)&lt;\/p&gt;\n\" data-medium-file=\"https:\/\/vmrw8k5h.tinifycdn.com\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/07\/Eva-Okaro-London-1-700x500.jpg\" data-large-file=\"https:\/\/vmrw8k5h.tinifycdn.com\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/07\/Eva-Okaro-London-1-1024x683.jpg\" class=\" wp-image-617847\" src=\"https:\/\/vmrw8k5h.tinifycdn.com\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/07\/Eva-Okaro-London-1-700x500.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"259\" height=\"185\" \/><p id=\"caption-attachment-617847\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Eva Okaro: Photo by Morgan Harlow\/Aquatics GB<\/p><\/div>\n<p>University of Stirling\u2019s <strong>Evie Davies<\/strong> also broke 54 in 53.99 with <strong>Freya Colbert<\/strong> (54.02) and <strong>Freya Anderson<\/strong> (54.19) securing a relay berth for Great Britain in Paris.<\/p>\n<p>The first race of the championships saw <strong>Keanna Macinnes<\/strong> and <strong>Emily Richards<\/strong> book tickets for Glasgow and Paris.<\/p>\n<p>Macinnes, coached by <strong>Ben Higson<\/strong> at the University of Stirling, was third at the final turn before going past Richards and <strong>Ciara Schlosshan<\/strong> to win in 2:07.02.\u00a0Richards was second in 2:07.70 with Schlosshan third in 2:08,68.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Imogen Clark<\/strong> won the 50m breaststroke, her time of 30.69 marginally outside of automatic qualification for Paris, with <strong>Anna Morgan<\/strong> (30.69) and <strong>Gabrielle Idle-Beavers<\/strong> (30.83) finishing in second and third place respectively.<\/p>\n<p>In the Mixed Classification events, it was Sam Downie (S8) who swam to first place in the Men\u2019s MC 400m Freestyle, followed by Kieran Williams (S10) and Max Davies (S8). Bruce Dee (SB6) was victorious in the Men\u2019s MC 100m Breaststroke, with Harry Stewart (SB14) and Kai Bradford (SB8) in third. Race favourite Poppy Maskill (S14) won the Women\u2019s MC 100m Freestyle, with Bethany Firth (S14) finishing in second and Georgia Sheffield (S14) finishing in third place.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Adam Peaty Back On Top Of Podium, Books European &amp;
