Isabel Gose<\/strong> set a 1500 meet record while Caspar Corbeau<\/strong>, Siobhan Haughey<\/strong> and Oliver Klemet<\/strong> were among the winners on day one of the Swim Open Stockholm and\u00a0Lucas Henveaux<\/strong> matched his Belgian 400 free record.<\/p>\n
Gose took over the lead from Moesha Johnson<\/strong> at the 650m mark in the longest race in the pool to come home in 15:55.04 and take more than three seconds off the 15:58.17 standard she posted last year.<\/p>\n
It elevated the German third in the rankings behind Katie Ledecky<\/strong> (15:23.21) and Lani Pallister<\/strong> (15:44.07).<\/p>\n
Johnson clocked 15:58.49 for second with Maya Werner third in 16:16.30.<\/p>\n
Corbeau topped the 200 breast in 2:08.76 ahead of Netherlands teammate Arno Kamminga<\/strong> and Matti Mattsson<\/strong>, who won silver and bronze respectively at the Tokyo Olympics.<\/p>\n
Haughey continued her strong return from injury with a dominant victory in the 200 free. The double Olympic medallist over four lengths of the pool had a particularly strong second half to her race and came home in 1:55.10, 3.85secs ahead of Zuzanna Famulok<\/strong> in second (1:58.95). Linda Roth<\/strong> was third in 1:59.02).<\/p>\n
Klemet was in control of the men\u2019s 400 free, finishing in 3:43.14 with fellow German Johannes Liebmann<\/strong> holding off the sizzling finish of Henveaux in 3:44.59 to 3:44.61, with Henveaux equalling the national standard he set en-route to fifth at the 2024 worlds in Doha.<\/p>\n

Polish pair Adela Piskorska<\/strong> and Varvara Hlushchenko<\/strong> shared the women\u2019s 50 back in 28.53<\/li>\n
Jan Cecka<\/strong> won the men\u2019s 200 back in 1:57.64 with Gabriel Jett<\/strong> of the USA second in 1:58.13<\/li>\n
Diogo Ribeiro<\/strong> took the men\u2019s 50 fly in 23.03 with Swedish pair Sara Junevik<\/strong> and Louise Hansson<\/strong> sharing the women\u2019s title in 25.99<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n
