Rodriguez specializes in breaststroke and IM.<\/p>\n<p>Regarding his commitment, he said:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p><span style=\"color: #ff6600\"><strong>&#8220;I am thrilled and proud to share that I have verbally committed to the admissions process at Princeton University. I am extremely grateful to my family, friends, coaches and mentors in Mexico, Spain and the UK for their continued support. Thank you to coaches Matt, Mia and Zach for this opportunity. I am very excited for what\u2019s ahead. Go Tigers!!&#8221;<\/strong><\/span><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>Rodriguez trains year-round with Real Canoe Nataci\u00f3n Club. He is a national champion in both Spain and Great Britain. He also holds Spanish national records in breaststroke across several age groups, in both long course meters and short course meters.<\/p>\n<p>Most recently, Rodriguez competed at the Campeonato de Espa\u00f1a Primavera in mid-March where he set best times in all of his events and finished first in the 50m breast, 200m IM and 400m IM.<\/p>\n<p>In LCM, his best times include:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>50m breast &#8211; 28.85<\/li>\n<li>100m breast &#8211; 1:02.36<\/li>\n<li>200m breast &#8211; 2:15.74<\/li>\n<li>200m IM &#8211; 2:03.33<\/li>\n<li>400m IM &#8211; 4:28.91<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>In SCY, those times convert to:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>50 breast &#8211; 25.09<\/li>\n<li data-_get-element-size=\"{&quot;w&quot;:788.40625,&quot;h&quot;:36}\">100 breast &#8211; 53.71<\/li>\n<li data-_get-element-size=\"{&quot;w&quot;:788.40625,&quot;h&quot;:36}\">200 breast &#8211; 1:57.35<\/li>\n<li data-_get-element-size=\"{&quot;w&quot;:788.40625,&quot;h&quot;:36}\">200 IM &#8211; 1:46.16<\/li>\n<li>400 IM &#8211; 3:53.77<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Rodriguez is a great pickup for the Tigers.
