Virginia captures its sixth consecutive NCAA title, with Stanford in second place and Texas third in a narrow battle. Tuesday&#8217;s press release includes the 238 athletes earned that All-American honors, <a href=\"https:\/\/cscaa.org\/cscaa-announces-2026-womens-division-i-coach-athlete-of-the-year-awards-all-america-selections\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">the full list of which is available here<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Virginia led the way with 58 selections. She won the NCAA title in the 100 butterfly, 50 freestyle and 100 free. The senior also helped the Cardinal finish second in the 200 medley relay, 200 free relay and 400 free relay and sixth in the 800 free relay.<\/p>\n<p>Verzyl was named Diver of the Year <a href=\"https:\/\/www.swimmingworldmagazine.com\/news\/ncaa-womens-championships-sophie-verzyl-delivers-late-for-3-meter-gold\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">after her first NCAA title on 3-meter springboard<\/a>. The South Carolina senior won 3-meter and was second on 1-meter, within 0.25 points of winner <strong>Chiara Pellacani<\/strong> of Miami.<\/p>\n<p>Virginia coach <strong>Todd DeSorbo<\/strong> was named CSCAA Swimming Coach of the Year for the sixth straight year. He led the Cavaliers to a sixth consecutive NCAA title, this one <a href=\"https:\/\/www.swimmingworldmagazine.com\/news\/supreme-depth-leads-virginia-cavaliers-to-record-setting-sixth-consecutive-national-title\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">with unprecedented depth in the number of scorers<\/a> after the graduation of mainstays like <strong>Alex Walsh<\/strong> and <strong>Gretchen Walsh.\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Minnesota\u2019s <strong>Wenbo Chen<\/strong> was named Diving Coach of the Year.
