7\/18\/24&lt;br \/&gt;\nAdam Peaty 2024 British Trials&lt;\/p&gt;\n\" data-image-caption=\"&lt;p&gt;Photo Courtesy: Morgan Harlow\/Aquatics GB&lt;\/p&gt;\n\" data-medium-file=\"https:\/\/vmrw8k5h.tinifycdn.com\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/04\/AP-1-700x500.jpg\" data-large-file=\"https:\/\/vmrw8k5h.tinifycdn.com\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/04\/AP-1-1024x683.jpg\" class=\" wp-image-583320\" src=\"https:\/\/vmrw8k5h.tinifycdn.com\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/04\/AP-1-700x500.jpg\" alt=\"adam peaty\" width=\"284\" height=\"203\" \/><p id=\"caption-attachment-583320\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Adam Peaty: Photo Courtesy: Morgan Harlow\/Aquatics GB<\/p><\/div>\n<p>It was the first time Peaty had tasted success since the British Championships in April 2024 where he won the 100m breaststroke title in 57.94 before going on to take silver at the Paris Olympics, 0.02 off his third straight gold in the event as <strong>Nicolo Martinenghi<\/strong> claimed the crown.<\/p>\n<p>While Peaty competed on the World Cup tour in 2025, Edinburgh was his first time back in a long-course competition since La Defense Arena.<\/p>\n<p>The eight-time world champion was fourth in the 100 on Saturday where world and European junior champion Nowacki wrapped up the 100\/200 double.<\/p>\n<p>With a nod to the future with Nowacki \u2013 an ambassador at Peaty\u2019s AP Race brand \u2013 and the prospect of once more racing <strong>Cameron van der Burgh<\/strong> at the Commonwealth Games with the 2012 Olympic champion on the comeback trail, Peaty said on Saturday: \u201cFilip\u2019s wearing an AP Race hat and obviously we can spot good talent coming through.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cBut I look past my whole career now, and it\u2019s going to be incredible to race Cameron again, hopefully in the 50s for the Commies.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Although he\u2019s not yet made a final decision, it appears the 50 will be his solo individual race at the Commonwealth Games in Glasgow in July.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI don\u2019t think I\u2019ll be doing 100, but we\u2019ll see,\u201d he said. \u201cBut again, that\u2019s what makes sports great, and I think it\u2019s one of the best decisions for the 50s to be back in, because the older athletes continue to go and continue to race.\u201d<\/p>\n<h3>Richards Wraps Up Treble; Evans Rattles 200 PB<\/h3>\n<p><strong>Matt Richards<\/strong> wrapped up the freestyle treble with a 48.66 victory in the 100. Taylor, who turned 17 last month, also took the 50 title on the opening day and is building on a fine junior career in international waters.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Angharad Evans<\/strong> posted the second-fastest 100m breaststroke of her career on Friday when she was just 0.09 off her British record in 1:05.46 to go top of the rankings.<\/p>\n<p>The Scot returned for the 200 where she took her second title of the meet in 2:22.31, her second fastest and the ninth in British waters. <strong>Abbie Wood<\/strong> was second in 2:23.76 with <strong>Imogen Myles<\/strong> completing the podium in 2:28.09.<\/p>\n<p>Evans&#8217; PB stands at 2:21.86 from the 2025 British Championships, third in the all-time domestic rankings behind <strong>Molly Renshaw<\/strong> (2:20.89) and Wood (2:21.69).<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Tyler Melbourne-Smith<\/strong> headed the 400 free ahead of <strong>James Guy<\/strong> in 3:49.02 to 3:49.21.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Luke Greenbank<\/strong> won the men\u2019s 200 back in 1:58.28<\/li>\n<li><strong>Freya Colbert<\/strong> won the 200IM in 2:10.48<\/li>\n<li><strong>Ed Mildred<\/strong> wrapped up the 100\/200 fly double with a 51.73 victory in the shorter race<\/li>\n<li><strong>Madison Kryger<\/strong> won the women\u2019s 200 back in 2:10.00<\/li>\n<li><strong>Tamara Potocka<\/strong> won the 50 fly in
