Florida Gulf Coast head coach Dave Rollins<\/strong> this week was named the head coach of the U.S. team for the 2026 FISU America Games.<\/p>\n

Rollins will be joined by FGCU assistant coach Antonio Nunez-Alvarez.<\/strong> The rest of the staff includes Molly Hebzynski<\/strong> of Oakland, Florida Atlantic\u2019s Ryan Bubb<\/strong> and Lauren Sullivan<\/strong> of Arizona.<\/p>\n

The competition will be held in Lima, Peru, at the Videna Aquatic Center from July 24-26. The event is sanctioned by the International University Sports Federation (FISU) as a bridge to the biennial World University Games. The next global Summer Universiade will be held in 2027 in Chungcheong Province, South Korea.<\/p>\n

The FISU America Games will celebrate its fourth edition<\/a>, dating to 2018, this summer. It sprouted from the South American University Games and is a multi-sport, Olympic-style sports festival uniting athletes from North, Central and South America.<\/p>\n

“I am blessed and humbled to be selected as the Head Coach for the FISU America Games,” Rollins said in a press release<\/a>. “To represent one’s country on the international stage is an absolute honor. Excited to have Antonio on staff as well, he is a first class coach and brings valuable experience to our staff. A great opportunity for us, our families, FGCU, and Team USA!”<\/p>\n

Rollins has been at the helm of the Eagles since 2016<\/a>. He and his coaching staff will select the team of NCAA swimmers that will compete this summer.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
