The Lynn junior clocked in at 18.97 seconds, a rare Division II swim under 19 seconds, then led of Lynn\u2019s NCAA record in the 200 medley relay to finish the night.<\/p>\n<p>The second night was a narratively rich one, with a few repeat champions \u2013 one long delayed \u2013 and a handful of runners-up turned champions on the opening night of individual finals from the Deaconess Aquatic Center in Evansville, Indiana.<\/p>\n<p>Team Scores after the first full night of competition:<\/p>\n<pre>Women - Team Rankings - Through Event 10                     \r\n  1. Tuesday, as the top two seeds, they dueled until Beard pulled away to win in 9:45.71, the first installment of what could be a big week for the Missouri-St. Louis junior.<\/p>\n<p>Williams was second this year, the senior from Nova Southeastern finishing in 9:50.42. Only Tampa\u2019s <strong>Burlingtyn Bokos<\/strong> also broke 10 minutes, and only by .02 to finish third.<\/p>\n<p>Tampa went 3-4, Bokos followed by <strong>Laura Hodgson,<\/strong> who had been eighth last year. Nova Southeastern finished second and 11th. Colorado Mesa took a slight hit with <strong>Olivia Hansson,<\/strong> the third-fastest seed and last year\u2019s sixth-place finisher, sliding to eighth.<\/p>\n<pre><b> Event 3  Women 1000 Yard 1,000 again, his time of 8:50.02 slightly off the 8:47.23 he used to win last year. It\u2019s still big points for the Trojans, Hamlin its only swimmer in the top 10, and dispelled the notion of him entering as the fourth seed by times.<\/p>\n<p>Second was <strong>Sebastian Camacho Gomez<\/strong> of Findlay in 8:51.45, nearly eight seconds under his seed time. Top seed <strong>Swann Plaza<\/strong> of Indy was nearly a second quicker than his seed, but it was only good for third. West Chester\u2019s <strong>Paul Demesy<\/strong> was fourth for a second straight year, the only other sub-9-minute swimmer in 8:58.08, down from a 9:13 seed. She was shy of the top step for the next two years and 150 yards. But a furious final 50 led the senior back to the title, a time of 1:58.83 edging Drury\u2019s <strong>Gwen Bergum<\/strong> by .28 seconds.<\/p>\n<p>Ronningdal was down by .18 seconds when the swimmers turned for home. But she split 28.41 coming home to 28.87 from Bergum to get to the wall first. Ronningdal was fifth last year and third as a sophomore. She went 1:57.78 as a freshman but was 2:00.23 in the A final last year.<\/p>\n<p>Indy\u2019s <strong>Celina Schmidt<\/strong> joined them under two minutes in 1:59.42 for bronze. <strong>Livia Rodrigues,<\/strong> the top seed entering the meet out of West Florida, was fourth in 2:00.83, .01 over <strong>Emily Mears-Bentley<\/strong> of Findlay. His winning margin was 1.93 seconds.<\/p>\n<p>Pock wrested the title away from Drury\u2019s <strong>Ivan Adamchuk,<\/strong> who finished sixth. That chopped .35 seconds off the winning time of Indy from last year.<\/p>\n<p>Findlay was second in 1:38.49, <strong>Helmi Kakela<\/strong> going 27.33 on breaststroke. Nova and Findlay were tied for second place at the final handoff until Esparza dropped a 21.88 coming home for the Sharks.<\/p>\n<p>Findlay finished .04 up on West Florida, which was in clean water early thanks to a split of 23.90 from <strong>Agata Naskret,<\/strong> with no one else even in the 24s. Indy was fourth in 1:38.96, needing a 21.71 from <strong>Kirabo Namutebi<\/strong> on the end to rally them up a spot. Lynn was eighth last year in 1:26.07, with Grabowski splitting 19.01 off the end in free.<\/p>\n<p>Lynn was in control from the beginning. Drury finished second in 1:24.63 in a massively close race for second, with Tampa third in 1:24.68 and Colorado Mesa fourth in 1:24.70. Drury got the edge with an 18.79 anchor leg from <strong>Lucas Minuer.<\/strong> Tampa was nearest to Grabowski off the front with Rufus Bernhardt in 21.43. Colorado Mesa had the fastest butterflyer in <strong>Oskar Sawicki\u2019s<\/strong> 19.70. Indy was running second and within .21 of Lynn at the final handoff thanks to a 22.76 from <strong>Jeremias Pock<\/strong> and a 20.11 from <strong>Elias Noe<\/strong> but slipped to fifth in 1:24.97,
